Co-operative care coaching and Workshops for Veterinary staff

I have worked as a Veterinary Nurse in veterinary practices for over 20 years, working specifically on desensitisation of fears and phobias with pets and their people for 10 years.

My Experience

I have extensive expertise in helping animals overcome their fear of various aspects associated with visiting the veterinary clinic. This includes everything from anxiety about entering the veterinary building itself, to fear of the staff members, unfamiliar equipment, or even the car park. I’ve also assisted with animals who are uncomfortable with the clinic’s flooring or the approach to the building. Whether it’s a specific fear or a combination of factors that cause stress, I’ve worked with animals to make these experiences less daunting and more manageable. Whatever the challenge, I’ve been able to provide effective, compassionate support to ease their discomfort.

Comprehensive Support and Training for Managing Animal Anxiety

I am highly skilled in educating not only pets but also clients and veterinary team members on how to effectively support and manage this incredibly common issue. Whether it involves teaching techniques for easing anxiety in animals or guiding owners and staff through best practices, I provide comprehensive training to address this condition from all angles. I can assist with conducting stress audits to identify key stressors, facilitate team meetings to foster collaboration, and organize informative “lunch and learn” sessions. Additionally, I offer both one-to-one and group coaching, ensuring personalized guidance or collective training, tailored to meet the needs of everyone involved in caring for these animals.
