Co-operative care

Co-operative care coaching and workshops for veterinary staff and support for per owners

Many of our pets are terrified of the vets. studies have shown that at least 80% of animals experience anxiety when approaching the vet practice. It doesn’t need to be this way, there is so much we can do to support you.

I have worked as a Veterinary Nurse in veterinary practices for over 20 years, working specifically on desensitisation and counterconditioning of fears and phobias with pets and their people for 10 years.

My Experience

I specialize in helping animals overcome fears related to veterinary visits, from anxiety about entering the clinic to fear of staff, equipment, or even the car park. I’ve also assisted with discomfort around the building’s flooring or entrance.

Whether the animal is displaying a  a specific fear or a generalised anxiety, I provide compassionate support to make these experiences less stressful and more manageable.

Services

I offer one to one support for dogs and cats who are frightened of the veterinary practice.

I also offer coaching and workshops specifically for veterinary staff who would like to offer a tailored service to their own patients

I’m skilled in educating pets, clients, and veterinary teams on managing anxiety. From teaching techniques to conducting stress audits and facilitating team meetings, I provide comprehensive support. I also offer one-to-one and group coaching, along with informative “lunch and learn” sessions, ensuring tailored guidance for everyone involved in animal care.
